Water back on in southern Gaza - US official

Source: BBC

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan tells CNN that Israeli officials have informed him that water pipes in southern Gaza have been turned back on.

Speaking on CNN's State of the Union, Sullivan says Israeli officials informed him of the development in the last hour.

The Israeli military declared a "complete siege" of Gaza six days ago, with food and water running out across the territory.

Palestinians from the north of Gaza, and the north of Gaza will now be seized completely by Israel.
There will be no home for northern Palestinians to return to, it won't be allowed or completely destroyed.

So good, some water for the quadrupled refugee population. But...

Because Hamas, the ruling body of Gaza cannot handle a ten percent reduction in their water supply.

The increase in the cost of rocket launchers must have been totally overlooked when budgeting for Gaza infrastructure.

At least one accusation of violating international law is down the drain, pun intended. How many more to come?

To stop part of a humanitarian crisis. Good for Biden.

Water is back ON in southern Gaza amid Israeli military siege after deal was struck between President Joe Biden and PM Netanyahu

“Israel this afternoon re-opened the water supply in south Gaza after President Biden intervened - just days after warning of the importance of the 'rule of law.”

The tunnels into Egypt are for arms smuggling. Tunnels into Israel are for killing Jews. Tunnels inside of Gaza are for hiding arms.

Both know about and actively destroy the tunnels. They build deep barriers underground but Hamas just digs deeper. Hundreds of thousands of miles of tunnels in that small area.

You seem to take Israel for granted expecting delivery of water, electricity and internet to Gaza. May I ask why? Is it customary for a country to deliver infrastructure and services to the regime whose express aim is to destroy the country because the said regime totally fucked up in their responsibility to adequately serve its population? Is Gaza in any way entitled to receive a single drop of Israel's water, not to mention frigging internet service? What about premium cable TV with live broadcasts of camel races from Qatar?

And how do your demands for accommodating your viewing preferences figure into this?

But remember, Israel is planning for ground troops. And what do ground troops need?

Palestinians polluted their own aquifer from over use and pollution.

Hamas diverted international water improvement aid into building rockets.

The money Hamas uses for war should've gone into building water, sewage, and electrical plants.

Palestinians should be fighting Hamas themselves.
