Bill O'Reilly Outraged After School District Pulls His Books Under Florida Law He Supported: 'It's Absurd'
Source: msn.com
Story by Michael Luciano 6h
Escambia County School District has at least temporarily removed more than 1,000 titles from its shelves because those books have been alleged to contain pornography or obscene depictions of sexual conduct. Those include OReillys Killing Jesus: A History and Killing Reagan: The Violent Assault That Changed a Presidency.
............................
Unfortunately, weve seen some books in some of these libraries, I mean youre talking about kids in middle school, some of the stuff that has ended up there is incredibly, incredibly disturbing stuff, DeSantis said at the time.
..........................
He added:
When DeSantis signed the book law, I supported the theme because there was abuse going on in Florida. There were far-left progressive people trying to impose an agenda on children, theres no doubt about it. And the state has an obligation to protect children. But the wording of the law was far too nebulous in Tallahassee
So, that law needs to be tightened up, DeSantis needs to come out publicly and say this is insane, were not going to cooperate with this and were going to investigate the people who did it.
OReilly said he still supports the law, but added that the removal of his books is an abuse of the law.

Not too sure what that even means, but I don't think his lady friend appreciated him rubbing it all over her in the shower. haha

As opposed to the far-right fascist agenda Bill and his kind want to impose. So much for self-awareness.

(4,109 posts)and because they support their draconian ideas that they will be exempt from the consequences, well they are wrong. At the end of the day the GOP evil will hit them hard too because to the GOP, people like Bill O'Reilly, and their base are just useful idiots whose useful life is usually very short, and when their usefulness ends they will also suffer like everyone else.
It is amazing to have seen how many people have been thrown under the bus by republicans, how much hate republicans have shown to brown and black people, and then to find that there are still people who think they are special, that they will never be thrown under the bus, until it happens,

(37,186 posts)she gave me one of his books as a gag gift for xmas (2003)
(she knew i hated him--hence--that was the joke)
while i appreciated her twisted sense of humor (and i still do; i think she gets it from me), i was still upset that she had bought his book.
i decided to make the best of it. i got a sharpie and altered his photo on the dust jacket to resemble a devil. then i started "editing" and rewriting the book which made it rather humorous.
(as i'm writing this i'm wondering why i just didn't return the book. i'm not sure it even occurred to me to do that at the time. maybe i didn't want to hurt her feelings or her to think i didn't appreciate her sense of humor? maybe we would've needed the receipt and she had thrown it away? i don't know/remember.)
i edited the first two or three chapters and eventually either grew bored with the whole thing or just couldn't stand to read anymore of his bullshit.
