Nurse Nabbed After Leaving Swanky Hotel Key at Capitol Riot, Feds Say

Source: daily beast

Sandra Lee Hodges, 61, insists she was simply “sucked into the building.”

A North Carolina woman was arrested Thursday and charged with storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 thanks to a hotel key card she left at the scene.

Sandra Lee Hodges, 61, occupied a Senate office at one point that day with far-right “celebrity” Anthime “Baked Alaska” Gionet—but she insists she was simply “sucked into the building” by the angry mob, according to a criminal complaint unsealed in Washington, D.C. federal court.

On the way back out, the feds say Hodges dropped the key card to her hotel room, which subsequently led law enforcement directly to her front door.
.............................

According to the complaint, Hodges drove to D.C. on Jan. 5 from her home in the town of Hertford, along the way picking up a new online friend (whose name she later claimed not to remember) in Virginia Beach. When they arrived, Hodges checked them both into the swanky Mandarin Oriental, the complaint says.

“Hodges planned to attend President Trump’s speech the following morning,” it goes on. “However, Hodges claimed that she woke up late and when she left the hotel to walk to the speech, she encountered a large group of people who told her the speech was over and everyone was headed to the U.S. Capitol building to protest.”

At about 2:12 p.m., a MAGA-hatted Hodges joined the swelling crowd in the West Plaza of the Capitol grounds, ..........................

The open-source intelligence group Blue Hatz posted this side-by-side image comparison that they say proves Charles Bausman was inside the U.S. Capitol building during the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Jan. 6 Video Suggests 'Russia Insider' Entered Capitol

By Michael Edison Hayden
SPLC, September 23, 2021

Russia Insider founder Charles Bausman breached the walls of the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, according to research conducted by a Europe-based open-source intelligence (OSINT) group into video captured during the insurrection.

The findings by the OSINT group build on Hatewatch reporting showing that Bausman traveled to Washington, D.C., on the day of the insurrection, then disappeared from his home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and reemerged in Moscow. In the months since, he has served as a talking head on Russian television, commenting on American affairs with a reactionary point of view. Hatewatch previously noted that Bausman claimed on a Russian Orthodox Christian-themed television station to have stopped short at the Capitol’s balustrades without entering the building. Footage obtained by the OSINT group, in which a man bearing a strong resemblance to Bausman is visible inside the Capitol, appears to contradict his account.

The OSINT group, whose members choose to remain anonymous, goes by the name “Blue Hatz.” A person who operates a Twitter account associated with the group described them to Hatewatch as “an independent international team of 15 ‘OSINTers’ and investigators from Europe, Russia, Ukraine and US” who have been using found footage to identify those who breached the Capitol building on Jan. 6. In the Russian television interviews, Bausman claims to be a journalist covering the events of Jan. 6, rather than a pro-Trump demonstrator. But the man the OSINT group believes to be Bausman – shown in side-by-side images in a tweet they published – can be seen wearing a red, Trump-branded hat, blending in with other supporters of the 45th president inside a hallway. The video shows the man strolling and taking video with his cell phone as rioters move through the Capitol building.

Continues…

Home of MLB Hall of Fame pitcher, Jimmy “Catfish” Hunter. And it’s where my Dad grew up, left and never returned to, except to visit.

It was nothing but a small, rural farming town when I was a kid. Time has pretty much passed it by and those who are left are, for the most part, disaffected, aging, white farmers, etc., angry at the world over…something, and just want the world to go back to some nostalgic point in time when life was better/easier. Never mind the fact that that little utopia only ever exists/existed in their heads.

There were a shit-ton of "tourists" entering the city on Jan. 5th and checked out on Jan. 7th of 2021. If they weren't government employees or doing business with the government, why the hell were they there? Yes quite a few drove in from elsewhere that day, and maybe their license tags were photographed at the interstate tollbooths....

The Feds should be allowed to retrieve that data. They already have cellphone data, so it's a matter of matching up the records.

and considering that D.C. hosts many of the Department/Agency headquarters buildings, the hotels are continually peopled by government employees (including some who commute there from other states, stay the week, commute home, then come back the next week, etc), let alone all the conferences and workshops and training programs that go on down there.

(ask me how I know )

Congress only had one job and that was to certify the election on January 6th.

I realize that not every hotel customer was there to take part in the insurrection. I'm just saying that a three-way match-up of cellphone data, names & addresses from hotel records, and the car tags data would pretty much wrap it up.

But it's 3 years later and they probably can't get the data anymore.

There is ALWAYS stuff going on there (and not just counting the federal workers AND federal contractors, where there are a ton of those there).

But you had what was the new 117th Congress that was sworn in on Sun. January 3rd, 2021 and there were a number of new members and they bring their families. Pelosi was also re-elected Speaker and they voted on the Rules for that session. Because of COVID protocols, they swore them in by dividing them up in batches (and the ability to proxy vote allowed them to isolate wherever - their homes in the area, hotels, their offices, etc), but that "swear in" day is usually a social butterfly period.

This was all before January 6.

But also note that a lot of the insurrectionists got there by chartered buses. Hell, the loon Mastriano even provided buses for the nuts that went down there from here in PA.

Edit to add - I just saw this in the linked article above that was published Jan. 4, 2021 -

(snip)

Texas Representative Chip Roy, a Republican, objected to seating the 67 representatives from Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin and Nevada. In a statement, Roy said he did so because a number of his colleagues, including fellow members of the House Freedom Caucus, plan to challenge the Electoral College votes from those states over "their deeply held belief that those states conducted elections plagued by statewide, systemic fraud and abuse." Roy has previously made it clear he oppose this move.

"After all, those representatives were elected through the very same systems — with the same ballot procedures, with the same signature validations, with the same broadly applied decisions of executive Judicial branch officials — as were the electors chosen for the President of the United States under the laws of those states, which have become the subject of national controversy," Roy wrote on Sunday.

Roy's objection was voted down 371-2.

The crowd was large and very ugly and the chants were pretty specific. No mere tourist would have stayed anywhere near the Capitol for more than a few seconds when they started to turn up, furiously stomping their way from the TFG "pull the trigger" rally.

Hodges is a nurse, not a plaster saint, and her big mouth was wide open in that picture. She was part of the attempted insurrection.

She belongs in prison.
