Fatal shooting erupts inside Bronx subway station: police sources

At least six people were shot, one fatally, in a Bronx subway station on Monday, according to police sources.

Four women and two men were shot on the northbound No. 4 platform at the elevated Mount Eden Ave. station on Jerome Ave. near Mount Eden Ave. in Mount Eden just after 4:45 p.m., police and sources said.

A police source said the scene was a “mess” as cops collected evidence and medics rushed victims to various hospitals.

Medics transported six patients to area hospitals. One person was in critical condition, four people had serious injuries and one suffered from minor injuries, an FDNY spokesperson said.

I just read where a 3 year old shot himself in the face. An 11 year old took a loaded gun to school to kill another kid. A six year old took a loaded gun and shot his teacher.

3. That was my subway station for about 13 yrs '09 - '22...Never had any problems or heard of anything...

really bad happening.

I'd be there leaving my nabe anywhere between usually early afternoon to around 7P+. (I traveled often except from'20 to now bc of covid)
I also took a subway in waaaay upper Manhattan for westside destinations.

I'd often be returning to the next station south of that Bronx one anywhere between 6PM - 11PMish.
