'Gun-loving' GOP governor reportedly seen 'running scared for his life' from mass shooting

Source: raw story

David McAfee February 14, 2024 4:52PM ET

Someone who says they ran away from the mass shooting at the Chiefs parade on Wednesday says they saw someone else running: a GOP governor who frequently touts his support for firearms.

Earlier on Wednesday, between eight and 10 people were shot near the Chiefs Super Bowl parade, and two armed suspects were then placed under arrest, according to Kansas City police, the New York Post and the Associated Press. Chaos erupted.

In that chaos, one man reported seeing Missouri governor Mike Parson running scared.

ETA: My sarcastic comment is directed only toward the "gun-loving governor" who fled to complete safety.

Condolences to the loved ones of those who died and deepest sympathies to those seriously injured and their loved ones.

Some of them need to be the victims for things to change. And I don't mean a wound to the shoulder. I'm talking about a life altering one. Something that disables them for life.

I also blame responsible gun owners who respect the power of guns. Who have a gun safe and keep it locked. Who teach their children the same respect. Where are you?????

Why are you ok with any Yahoo who wants a military weapon to carry into a mall? Why aren't you speaking out?

to catch the free light rail to go out for dinners (kudos to KC for installing this - and making buses free.) I liked the walkways connecting the station, shopping center, and hotels. The city seems to be trying hard to re-vitalize the downtown area and get people there easily.

Leaving the area as fast as you can is the best response. That way, the field will be clearer and the cops will know who to shoot.

I see the number of people with gunshot wounds is now 22.

Especially the kids at Children's Mercy. Or visit the families of the killed and wounded. He might do it for photo ops, but I doubt any of it will change his stance on guns.
