Fulton prosecutors think Willis' testimony yesterday was enough to beat disqualification bid, sources say

Source: CNN

The Fulton County prosecutors felt they got enough from Fani Willis’ testimony on Thursday to beat back the disqualification attempts, making further testimony on Friday unnecessary, two sources familiar with their thinking told CNN.

Willis spent more than two hours on the witness stand Thursday, and she was expected to resume testifying Friday. But prosecutors unexpectedly announ
ced at the start of the hearing that they didn’t have any questions for Willis’ cross-examination.

“The state has no further questions for Ms. Willis,” prosecutor Anna Cross said.

What this means: The decision could be strategically helpful to the prosecutors. By declining to question Willis, the prosecutors are now depriving the defense attorneys of another opportunity to take a second crack at her and ask additional questions.

Likewise with my hubby. He likes the security of knowing he has cash on hand. That isn't the case with me. onetexan Feb 2024 #6

She confirmed what Wade testified. And her dad confirmed DA Willis' handling of personal finances.

I am a 69 year old white male. And I believe her.

I don't know how my dad handled finances. I do know he had old coins in a lock box. I lived when the use of credit cards were not that widely used. It was either cash or check. Mostly cash. We would go to a local restaurant I believe on payday which was biweekly.

I hardly ever keep any cash on me except when we travel abroad and have relied on cards for as long as i can remember. It feels odd for me to keep cash on hand. OTOH many people are just more comfortable keeping cash on hand, and i think for good reason.
Fani's upbringing has alot to do with her keeping cash at home apparently.
