Another 'star' GOP impeachment witness may have lied under oath: Cassidy Hutchinson lawyer

Source: RawStory

House Republicans' impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden, which was already on shaky ground, may have just suffered another blow.

At issue is the testimony of Tony Bobulinski, a former business associate of Hunter Biden who has made allegations of corruption against President Joe Biden. While talking with House Republican investigators last week, Bobulinski accused former White House official Cassidy Hutchinson of lying about him after she claimed in her book that she saw him secretively talking to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in Rome, Georgia.

(snip)

But now ABC News reports that William H. Jordan, an attorney representing Hutchinson, has produced a photo of Meadows and Bobulinski in Rome, Georgia, in which Bobulinski is clearly wearing a mask covering his face.

Additionally, the two men are talking while standing in between two cars, which matches Hutchinson's recollection that she "observed Mark and Tony Bobulinski's interaction through a gap in the vehicles."

Ex-Trump White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson says photo refutes Biden impeachment witness's claims

https://abcnews.go.com/US/trump-white-house-aide-cassidy-hutchinson-pushes-back/story?id=107465387

including a photo of them talking and Bobulinski is wearing a ski mask

"Mr. Bobulinski claims under oath that he was not wearing a mask, that Mr. Meadows did not hand him anything, and that Ms. Hutchinson was 'fabricating facts,'" Hutchinson's lawyer wrote in the letter. "Perhaps Mr. Bobulinski's memory is impaired about the meeting, and a picture would help refresh his recollection."

The photo appears to show the pair meeting at night between SUVs with Bobukinski wearing a hat and a black mask. During his testimony with the House Oversight panel, Bobukinski said he remembered meeting Meadows at the Georgia rally and having private security with him at the time.

"Ms. Hutchinson took a photo of Mr. Bobulinski meeting with Mr. Meadows from her vantage point just on the other side of the vehicle from their conversation," Jordan wrote in his letter. "A copy is attached to this letter. Mr. Bobulinski may be somewhat hard to make out in this image -- since he is wearing his Penn State hat ... and a mask."

Hunter Biden is a private citizen and not a public figure. It should be a doddle to prove malice. The rest of the family who have been named by these two grandstanding, ten cent McCarthys should join the suit.

Of course the screeching monkeys on the far right will only say the witnesses were smeared by Antifa and the Deep State, their favorite bogeymen.

I don't think those people matter much any more. Covid has been reduced to an occasionally deadly nuisance and lockdown is over and sensible people are getting pretty sick of the whole damned bunch.

Regarding political policies, she was too young when she decided to be a Republican. She didn't have enough information or experience. I think she based her decision on what they were saying or claiming which of course was total bullshit.

She didn't go to an Ivy or Public Ivy, her family isn't rich. She has done teh right thing, and I feel quite confident she will go the way of Nicole Wallace relatively soon.

Sarah Palin turned the direction Wallace was faced, so hopefully all of this will turn Cassidy fully, too.

She has been very brave imo.

The first President I voted for was Reagan, and I voted for Jesse Helms and Howard Coble, too. Because I was barely an adult, my father was then (no longer) a wingnut, and I was so apolitical then. She can change.

Neither will resign, and neither will decline to run for re-election in November. And both are likely to be re-elected.

But if the Democrats take control of the House, their first order of business should be to censure both of them. Censuring MTG wouldn't be a bad idea, either. Nor would stripping them of their committee assignments.

(Ejecting them from Congress would be even better, but that's not going to happen.)

Nonetheless, allow me, first, to pierce the fog of his vituperative fulminations to share with you several obvious instances from Mr. Bobulinski’s testimony in which he accused a multitude of individuals and organizations of lying:
