Trump Makes Idiotic Confession Just Before Key Classified Docs Hearing
Source: New Republic
While Donald Trumps legal team prepared to make arguments attempting to dismiss his classified documents criminal case, Trump was working on a new angle of his own.
In a prerecorded interview that aired Wednesday, Trump effortlessly unraveled the work of his defense team, telling Newsmaxs Greg Kelly point blank that he actually did take the classified documents, describing the process of shamelessly packing them away while leaving office.
I took em very legally, Trump said. And I wasnt hiding them.
We had boxes on the front of theand a lot of those boxes had clothing and a lot ofwe were moving out, OK? Unfortunately, we were moving out of the White House. And because were moving out of the White House our country is going to hell.

(2,220 posts)She would have to invent somethig new, like the thing she did with the special master, as grounds for a dismissal. And the appeals court will reverse her with another scolding. That would provide the opportunity for Smith to get her booted from the case. I think Smith has been waiting for her to make a major mistake before he moves to rid himself of this troublesome judge.

(12,703 posts)She believes if she dismisses the charges it will not only be over turned by the Appellate Court but she will be tossed from the case. I think someone is giving her advice because I dont think shes very smart. She certainly doesnt know jack about being a judge, much less a Federal judge.

(13,538 posts)Whenever they try to equalize it to Biden & Pence. But they deflect because they dont HAVE an answer. WHY doesnt it bother them that a man would work SO hard to keep such top secret info? NUCLEAR weapons & war info? WHY?
I totally get why he'd want the info on foreign leaders; leverage. Blackmail.

If this trial ever takes place, there will never be a single consequence. He'll be found guilty and he'll get probation at worst.
The US sure is taking its sweet time going to hell. it's been 3+ years...

(24,583 posts)First he said the FBI was planting evidence. Then he whined that the FBI made his attorneys stand out in the hot sun so they could plant evidence. Then he said the FBI broke into his safe. Then he said he had given all documents back. Then he told his attorneys to lie and say there were no more documents. When they found more, THEN he said they were his and he could keep them.

In fact I think it this functions as a signal to the cultists out there - this lie will be polished & repeated.
In reality, I don't think he has the guile to be doing any of this consciously. But I could be wrong.
