We already lack clarity on what security was provided for the $91M bond he posted in response to the E. Jean Carroll case. That is already a plenty BFD. A guy who wants your trust and wants to be President should disclose his liabilities.

Is it law that a party nominee must be given full security clearance? Or just policy? This seems like a huge risk, what if the current administration ignores past practice with respect to the most sensitive stuff? Would a court agree that policy outweighs national security?

33. A security clearance shouldn't be automatically granted to someone because they are elected as POTUS.

They need to satisfy all requirements (e.g., not subject to compromise due to bad finances) for a clearance.

I went through an extensive background check/other investigations to get a Top Secret security clearance and I was just an everyday DOD contractor. A president to be should be required to pass through a much more rigorous process.
