Trump flagged as 'massive security risk' after he's unable to post bond in fraud judgment

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Yonnie3 (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum).

.........................

“The amount of the judgment, with interest, exceeds $464 million, and very few bonding companies will consider a bond of anything approaching that magnitude,” Trump’s lawyers wrote.

That cash crunch made the presumptive Republican presidential nominee a national security risk, according to Rep. Sean Casten (D-IL)....................................

"The fact that we don't know this about someone running for the highest office in the land shifts the liability onto our democracy itself," Casten said. "If the @HouseGOP (and in particular, the leadership of the Judiciary Committee) gave a damn about our democracy they would be issuing subpoenas for this instead of their onanistic Hunter [Biden] fetish. The fact that they aren't tells you what they think about democracy too.

"And yes, there is a massive problem that the Senate isn't doing this either," he added. "That problem rhymes with shmilibuster."

MORE lawmakers need to start shouting about Trump being a National security risk!!

?s=20

We already lack clarity on what security was provided for the $91M bond he posted in response to the E. Jean Carroll case. That is already a plenty BFD. A guy who wants your trust and wants to be President should disclose his liabilities.

?s=20

Indeed, all of us who run for Congress or serve are required to post regular reports of our assets and liabilities. The fact that we don't know this about someone running for the highest office in the land shifts the liability onto our democracy itself.

Deep enough to handle all of the Stone/Bannon/Miller/trump level types with room to spare. Once a day send down a parcel of gruel/gristle (aka McShakes and Big Macs). Drain holes at the bottom.

Great legal representation from the same teams that have been stiffed before.

Free TV for those that want to watch what happens. Can't imagine who would go first.

No gold toilet.

No private jet.

No penthouse.

No RNC piggy bank.

No hairdresser, no make-up artist.

No long red ties, not even for purposes of self-destruction.

Nothing but an orange jumpsuit and a single cell, with a thin mattress on a hard bed, a toilet without screens, three institutional meals on a plastic tray, and no access to media.

The amount of the judgment, with interest, exceeds $464 million, and very few bonding companies will consider a bond of anything approaching that magnitude, WITHOUT SUFFICIENT COLLATERAL AND WE AIN’T GOT THAT MUCH COLLATERAL (since Jack Smith confiscated it last year).

Ok…maybe not the parenthetical but certainly the caps.

Just think of it. The 45 grift will pale to insignificance when compared to the 47 grift. Trump will turn DC into a non-stop, 24/7, con con. Rents will skyrocket as scamsters from every corner of the world open offices to buy, sell, and trade presidential favors.

Remember, the Saudis absolutely hate the US and the West - unless they love what we have here.

So, putting on a Reynolds Heavy-Duty hat here. Remember when Smelvis gloated that he had the tallest building in NYC after the Twin Towers came down? And that the Saudis funded that little operation? All for the rights to have the tallest building?

made a virtual King...like Putin.

Is it law that a party nominee must be given full security clearance? Or just policy? This seems like a huge risk, what if the current administration ignores past practice with respect to the most sensitive stuff? Would a court agree that policy outweighs national security?

I bet there are secret rooms at Pentagon and NSA where they know all that T has done to jeopardize national security including, but not limited to, the MAL classified docs. Someone should check on them...I bet there are red lights flashing and some hair on fire.

Of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, and not because he's a candidate. If he were a candidate, he wouldn't get the protection until after the party convention...unless a legitimate security threat justified that protection earlier. AFAIK, Obama is the only one who qualified for pre-convention security. If so, gee, I wonder why...

This is something that did not happen. There is no button to click to report that a story in LBN is the product of Rawstory's imagination.

They need to satisfy all requirements (e.g., not subject to compromise due to bad finances) for a clearance.

I went through an extensive background check/other investigations to get a Top Secret security clearance and I was just an everyday DOD contractor. A president to be should be required to pass through a much more rigorous process.
