Jan. 6 Defendants Sue Police Officers for 'Millions'

A group of January 6 defendants has filed a class action lawsuit against 21 Capitol Police officers and officials for "millions of dollars in damages," inmate Edward Jacob (Jake) Lang told the conservative cable channel Real America's Voice on Friday. Lang, who on his social media profile on X, formerly known as Twitter, describes himself as a "January 6 political prisoner," was arrested soon after the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Lang was living in Newburgh, New York, and was 25 at the time of the riot.

According to an FBI affidavit from January 15, 2021, federal investigators were tipped off about Lang's participation in the attack on the Capitol by members of the public who shared photos and videos that he himself had shared on social media. They showed that he was involved in the riot, according to the affidavit.

Lang is accused of wielding a dangerous weapon against Capitol Police officers as well as obstruction of an official proceeding. The FBI affidavit said a video showed that he "swung, thrusted, and/or jabbed" a bat at Capitol Police officers "multiple times." He's been in prison ever since his arrest. He has pleaded not guilty to all counts.

Lang is now trying to sue several Capitol Police officers for damages. Interviewed by Real America's Voice via phone on Friday, he said that over 78 January 6 defendants are claiming "millions of dollars in damages and injuries that the Capitol Police caused us, I mean, horrible."

I can think of about a dozen times when some Fake Christian White Male Republicon tried to intimidate and or bully me, and each time I challenged them verbally, where they then realized I was ready to physically engage them if they didn't stop, they ALL ran away. We've tolerated them far too long and this is our generation's calling, our duty to preserve our republic. Yes it's ugly and perhaps dangerous, but I doubt it.

Notice how every time Deadbeat Donald the Traitor warns if we charge him, or challenge him, or convict him - yada yada, "very bad things will happen"?

The only time they stepped up was Jan. 6th and they didn't bring machine guns, or any weaponry. They weren't ready to die and never will be. They are FINALLY being called on their bullsh*t and they aren't used to it. Tough.

I think social media is a cancer but it does have some benefits, like being able to challenge the Fake Christians' ridiculous self-serving religious claims, and provide us with the ability to post their cruel bible passages which they've never read of course.

It enrages them, but it has to happen to defeat and humble these narcissistic cowardly fools.

Pro-Trump attorney returns to Michigan to turn herself in on outstanding warrant

An attorney who unsuccessfully sued to overturn former President Donald Trump’s 2020 loss in Michigan was ordered held on $10,000 bond Thursday after she appeared in a Michigan court on an outstanding warrant.

Stefanie Lambert turned herself in Thursday morning after having been arrested in Washington, D.C. earlier this week as a result of a bench warrant issued by a Michigan judge.

Lambert is facing felony charges of improperly accessing voting equipment in a search for evidence of a conspiracy to steal the 2020 election from Trump. She had failed to appear at a March 7 hearing, resulting in the warrant.

Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey Matis ordered Lambert to be taken into custody for purposes of fingerprinting and DNA. She returned to the courtroom Thursday wearing a maroon uniform and with her hands cuffed. Matis then ordered that Lambert post a $10,000 cash bond to be released.

I live in a rural six-county area of Virginia known as the Northern Neck, bounded by Potomac and Rappahannock rivers and Chesapeake Bay.

Deep red, MAGAt area. Several Jan 6 assholes were held in our regional jail awaiting trial in DC. A local group calling themselves Northern Neck Patriots started accusing jail of mistreating the poor misunderstood J6’ers.

Now that our jail no longer houses any J6’ers, the NNeck Patriots hold a weekly vigil outside the jail, some of the J6’ers phone in from jail with their tales of woe, the Patriots pray for them, all on YouTube.

This should give the Patriots a lot to rave about.

The Newsweek says it cannot verify a lawsuit has been filed.

Newsweek could not verify whether a lawsuit was filed and has contacted Lang for comment by direct messaging on X early on Saturday as well as Capitol Police by email.

I've read a lot of profoundly stupid legal pleadings in my time but this one is a new low. It is a political rant masquerading as a complaint.

Lang and all the plaintiffs appear pro se . There are e-signatures for all the pro se plaintiffs, so there is no way to know if the others have actually agreed to participate.

The complaint should be promptly dismissed. Rule 11 sanctions should be awarded. The question will then be whether only Lang is sanctioned or all the purported plaintiffs.
