Trump again praises authoritarian leaders at Bronx rally

Trump said Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un, Xi Jinping and Viktor Orban were "at the top of their game, whether you like it or not."

Former president Donald Trump again invoked authoritarian leaders at a rally Thursday, a reminder of a vision he has been outlining for a potential second term.

Trump referenced Russian President Vladimir Putin, North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban -- authoritarian foreign leaders he has praised numerous times before -- during the campaign stop in the South Bronx.

Seeking to contrast them with President Biden, Trump said the leaders were "at the top of their game, whether you like it or not." He also said that if he was elected for a second term, he would bring the United States to a position where "the world is going to respect us again."

It's endlessly amusing how the Trump Disinformation Defense Squad went from claiming 25,000 people attended to just wholesale abandoning any defense of the rally size once the videos starting come out showing tiny crowds, with people streaming out early. I'd be surprised if even 750 people showed up given how the over head videos like this one (https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/politics/trump-bronx-park-says-better-for-black-latino-voters-biden/5439376/ See the 0:13-0:24 video time stamps) show low density and small crowds not to mention no panning by the drone operator because no one else is there.

And he's running his grotesque roadshow in NYC. He's obviously not going to win the state, the city, or even the Bronx, so it's far more likely to be a convenient FU-from-within to all 3, and Democratic voters generally, to perform unearned victory laps for his base of diehard dipshits, looked like about 2000 of them at his event. His vengeance revivals also help him grab up even more airtime and news cycles which appears to please him greatly, and might be the only thing he truly loves.

If TSF gets his way, we won't recognize this nation in 5 years.
