Trump campaign sends Bob Good cease-and-desist over yard signs

Source: The Hill

06/01/24 6:46 PM ET

Former President Trump’s campaign sent a cease-and-desist letter to House Freedom Caucus Chair Bob Good’s (R-Va.) reelection campaign to stop producing yard signs and other merchandise that imply his backing of the congressman.

The Trump campaign sent the letter on Friday, a senior Trump campaign official confirmed to The Hill. It was sent after Good’s campaign utilized the former president’s image, name and the president’s past support of the candidate to boost his reelection chances.

“To be clear, neither you nor your campaign are authorized to use President Trump’s name or the Campaign’s to falsely imply their support of your candidacy,” attorney David Warrington said in a letter obtained by The Hill. “Nor are you or your campaign authorized to claim that you represent or are otherwise associated with President Trump or the Campaign.”

The letter came just days after Trump announced his endorsement of Virginia state Sen. John McGuire, Good’s primary challenger who is looking to beat the House lawmaker in the June 18 primary.

Chump couldn't care less if any down-ticket Repukes get elected. They must pay tribute to Chump - give over a percentage of their campaign collection box.

Chump's group released this sternly-worded letter to the press so that all the other Repuke candidates know where they stand. They're next, if they don't pay up.

Tfg (the felon guy) decides he wants a higher percentage. He’s got to realize after the election the money is going to dry up. He’s still going to need cash for lawyers and to plow into his properties. He will continue to grift but won’t have as much power to do it.

Some polls are showing that 10% of republicans say won't vote for the convicted felon. Seems to me, using him for a de facto endorsement might be a campaign killer.

in with Donny better run the other way every time they see a bus, because sooner or later he will throw them under it. Just ask Michael Cohen, Mike Pence, Peter Navarro, Genna Ellis, Rudy Giuliani etc, etc.

Cohen even said himself, how many more examples do some people need to see before they realize trusting Trump is a big mistake?

Good is definitely borderline - what with his links to 1/6, etc.

But he wants someone who'll have zero compunctions against "Marshall Law."

A real thug - and one who didn't endorse Ron deSaster.

Makes no bones about being all in to be a modern day Hitler. He’s so arrogant, he even tells you he intends to immediately follow the Heritage foundation extreme right wing mantra and tear up the government and have total power over our country. Just like Hitler did. Anybody who signs up with him may get elected in the red states, but are gonna have a hard time in the blue states.
