MAGA must be so proud.
Hunter Biden had pleaded guilty on gun charges until MagaNation in Congress started screaming about the plea deal. Which the judge then refused to accept the deal.
Hunter then changed to not guilty, so then they went after him in court.
So this is the result from CongressMaga going after Joe Biden.

Is it a crime, and did he do it? And if not, why did a jury come to the conclusion they did?

(3,814 posts)that if there was a guilty verdict, there would probably not be jail time. Hopefully that's the case, but sentencing will most likely be in 2-3 months.

"It was rigged!"
"He did nothing wrong!"
"The judge hates Biden!"
"The jury was made up of Biden haters!"
Now let's hope that he gets a very lenient sentence, and that Trump gets one he richly deserves.

As someone way on the 'pro gun ("Gun Humper"

(17,108 posts)Because the entire thing should have been shut down by Garland as soon as it went from the tax issue to anything else. The SC was allowed to basically go find any crime he could invent to charge Hunter Biden with. This was not a legitimate investigation or legitimate charges.

(10,803 posts)So from what I read the GOP assholes in their attempt to go after Biden and ultimately his son lead to the gun charges and tax fraud deal that fell apart. So ultimately the TRUMP DOJ was originally responsible for it.
This is so sad and just another example of the hypocrisy of the GOP. They are so disgusting.
It is hard to stay ethical when you have people that are so unethical and have no problem with using the DOJ to go after their enemies.

(17,558 posts)This, at best, has been an attempt by Garland to appear to be impartial. Hunter is an admitted substance abuser who has turned his life around.

Garland has been a total disappointment.

(14,856 posts)They are convinced biden, Obama, fauci, and every one of us liberals are criminal purely for existing. So this is kinda irrelevant when it comes to Maga.
Anyone not in Maga can see the difference between a convicted criminal running for office and a candidate having a family member who committed crimes.
And more importantly, they can see the difference between a dude with 34 felony convictions running for office on the promise that he will do it again, bigger and with more lawbreaking, and a president who doesn't bend the law or abuse the office even to protect his own son.

He turned to drugs and caused anguish for his father and disgraced the family in so many ways. Why he had to confess all his wrongs in a book is truly baffling. (998 posts)Shame he didn't do the same with Trump.
Garland has bent over backwards to be impartial and nonpartisan for 3 years.
The result is House Republicans are trying to prosecute him for contempt of congress and have convinced many voters he's weaponizing the Justice Departmen
t against Trump.
Democrats are finding out again that nice guys finish last.
And Hunter Biden is paying the price.
NanaCat
(2,332 posts)He's a department administrator, not a dictator. He did not open investigations into Hunter Biden looking for any dirt they could find--TSF's DOJ did that. Garland did not find that dirt. He did not say, go get him or else, or however you think he or prosecutions work. He did not overturn Hunter's plea deal. He did not render the guilty verdict.
His only crime is apparently letting the justice system do its job without undue interference from him (what he's supposed to do, you know), and that doesn't always work out how one would want. That's just how the cookie crumbles sometimes.
I don't like how Hunter had an agreed-upon plea deal that got trashed for what are apparently malicious political reasons. But I'm realistic enough to understand that he did break the law. Even he admitted that, to get the original plea deal. He gambled on that working for him, and he lost. Anyone with a brain knew he would get found guilty in a court of law, after he'd already confessed to it.
Ultimately, Hunter--and only Hunter--is responsible for his own actions, and for what happened today.
I think the best we can hope for at this point is Hunter getting a sentence quite close to his original plea deal.
Sailingdiver
(364 posts)And, continue to respect the judicial system.
Now, all he needs to do is wait until after the election and pardon his son.
He's still shown deference to the judicial system, accepted the verdict, and exercised his authority as the President.
And, the cult will have a meltdown. Win-win.
