Pro-Palestinian protesters outside Biden NYC fundraiser hurl smoke bombs, clash with cops

Scores of pro-Palestinian protesters hurled smoke bombs and fought with police as they tried to disrupt a deep-pocketed fundraiser for President Biden on the heels of his poor performance in his first debate with former President Donald Trump, officials said Saturday.

Waving Palestinian flags and holding up signs reading “Joe Biden — retire b—h!” protesters converged on the Hammerstein Ballroom on W. 34th St. near Eighth Ave. in Midtown at about 6:30 p.m. Friday, where dozens of Biden supporters shelled out up to $500,000 a table for the fundraiser.

Protesters gathered at Madison Square Park at E. 26th St. before heading north and then west to the Hammerstein Ballroom, police said. Cops stopped the protesters about a block away.

As protesters threw smoke bombs, cops clashed with demonstrators, taking 37 people into custody, an NYPD spokesman said.

I was inside by the time this started. One protestor inside started ranting and got kicked out two hours before the President arrived.

nb: perhaps an LGBTQ event wasn't the best target for supporters of a Palestinian Government that doesn't recognize gay rights.

Maybe I should be more understanding about this...I certainly took part in enough campus protests and marches about Viet Nam when I was in college. And not that I expect the MSM to ever ask the right questions here, but what exactly do these folks think is going to happen to them under Trump? If they're lucky, they'll be deported...won't matter if they're citizens or not. I definitely see "re-education" camps in their future in this country.

Get a grip folks...get on the Biden train, or prepare yourselves for far, far worse.

They reserve very expensive tables. However, if you volunteer you can sometimes get a free seat. (Although I've only gotten free $100 seats)
