It is a known fact that one simply cannot train a horse to remain calm in the vicinity of whatever is living on Trump's head. Horses are naturally fearful of the un-natural. (Thoroughbreds are just super-picky about who rides them.)

I've never seen a party so set upon by events, both external and internal... of their own making and out of their control. Damn, it's like the Universe is plotting against us. But I won't believe that. We HAVE to win this fight in November. We have to birth the New America... no R's required, thank you very much. I'd like to see them all deported to Russia and Hungary after the Nov election.

I hope they'll let him rest a couple days.

My old boss and her husband have it for the 3rd time and they're both in their 70s. She's a brilliant PhD but refuses the vaccinations, doesn't mask (she told me to though), and won't even use a pulse oximeter because she's Indian and says they only work on white people. She won't call the doctor or get anywhere near paxlovid.

I haven't had it yet to my knowledge. I've had every shot they'd give me and mask in public regularly, never stopped. I told her today, "Your way is not working!"

I hope they will all recover quickly and fully.

We are officially in a COVID wave right now. The CDC reports that wastewater levels of SARS-CoV-2 are HIGH on a national level. COVID test positivity is increasing, as are emergency department visits for COVID infections. Hospitalization data is not being reported by most states. The CDC is only updating variant proportions every two weeks- last time it was reported was on July 6,2024. KP.3 and its descendent KP.3.1.1 are pushing out other variants on the mainland United States, as it has done in other countries and in Hawaii

In his July 12 update, JP Weiland reports that across the US 1 in every 54 people currently infected with COVID. Regionally, he reports that the ratio of people currently infected is

Midwest: 1 in 79

South: 1 in 43

Northeast: 1 in 79

West: 1 in 37

Weiland also forecasts that COVID cases will be peaking on the West Coast soon, in the South in late July, and the Northeast/Midwest cases will peak in August.

Are they symptomatic, mild symptoms, moderate symptoms, hospitalized, ICU - where on the spectrum are these folks? Without more context, this feels like fear-mongering.

And if there are 600,000 infections each day, then it's an incredibly mild form of the disease, or else our health care system would have collapsed.

I got it I think and then passed it along without realising I was even sick. My allergies are awful this year (thanks terribly miserable spring/summer European weather), so I just suspected I was having a worse day than usual. I've vaxxed and have every booster I can. My partner has only been vaxxed twice. He was knocked the hell out. Another friend of mine caught it at some point whilst traveling in Italy and was really ill, despite having had vaccines/boosters and prior infections.

The foggy brain was a dead give away. My mother was 81 when she first got Covid, back in the days with no vaccine. The tests aren’t reliable. She has had it at least three times since 2020 and every time it sets her on her butt! My heart goes out to the President. This is a tough one! She usually falls before the diagnosis. My sister who doesn’t believe in Covid is her caregiver. Every time I have to force her to test mom. This is so hard on seniors. Such hard news. 💗💗💗🙏🏼

I tested positive for COVID-19 this afternoon, but I am feeling good and thank everyone for the well wishes.
I will be isolating as I recover, but during this time I will continue to work to get the job done for the American people.
