Wisconsin Rep. Mark Pocan calls for Biden to abandon 2024 election

Source: WISN

MILWAUKEE —
Congressman Mark Pocan of Wisconsin joins a new group of Democrats who are urging President Joe Biden to abandon his re-election bid.

Pocan, in a statement, advised the president to "pass the torch to a new generation of Democratic leaders," asserting it would "reinvigorate the race and infuse Democrats with enthusiasm and momentum" for the upcoming Democratic convention.

When questioned about the president's response to these appeals, a Biden campaign spokesperson emphasized the significant threat Trump poses.

4. Yes I'll vote for whomever 'our betters' choose for me, but I think they are making a huge mistake.

They haven’t thought this through and they don't have near the expertise or knowledge of winning elections that Biden has.

I’ll do what I’m told because Trump must be defeated.

But I am not going to forget this betrayal, especially if this ill-conceived bs inadvertently helps Trump win.

6. Hmm I'll point out that voting purely by party is partly what helped create the current Republican party.

So, yes party is important but there are some people that want to attend but that shouldn't get an invitation to RSVP.
Besides not everyone that runs as a Democrat is actually one like Jim Justice for example.

I trust my party to do the right thing.

Comparing us to the GOP is ridiculous.

I am an independent thinker.

That is why I like the Democratic Party.

are telling their donees to make public statements or the money's cut off. I can't believe these Democrats are saying all this with honest intent.

My guess, Tom Strickler and his ilk threatening to withhold campaign $$ unless they come out with a prepared statement. One such threat has been revealed:

TOM STRICKLER, a founder of the WME talent agency, said he recently posed that ultimatum to Sen. MARTIN HEINRICH (D-N.M.): “If you don’t publicly call for Biden to step aside,” Strickler said he told Heinrich aides, “you are not getting a dime from me.”

I guess his big money donors told him no donations unless you tell President Biden to drop out.

Mark Pocan is historically a progressive Democrat. We were not only shocked, but confused. I would think he would come forward as a Biden backer.

No one has any idea who will take his place! No one! And no one but Kamala can use the $300 million they’ve taken in for their campaign, so what the hell are they trying to do? They’re being stupid is what they’re doing.
