JD Vance's plane makes emergency landing in Wisconsin
Source: Salon
JD Vance and Donald Trump should maybe consider taking the bus for the remainder of their campaign events after both "Trump Force One" and "Trump Force Two" were forced to make emergency landings this month.
Exactly one week ago, Trump's plane made an emergency landing in Billings, Montana more than 140 miles away from a planned rally in Bozeman due to a nonspecified mechanical issue and today Vance experienced a similar scare when his Boeing 737, operated by Eastern Air, was forced to land in Milwaukee, Wisconsin due to what the Trump campaign is calling "a malfunction with the door seal," according to The Daily Beast.
The pilot advised there was a malfunction with the door seal, Vance spokesperson Taylor Van Kirk told the outlet in a statement. After declaring an emergency, 'Trump Force Two' returned to Milwaukee. As soon as the issue was resolved, the plane returned to its originally planned flight path back to Cincinnati.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Vance's wife, Usha, their German Shepherd and several reporters were also on the flight.

(4,473 posts)but the majority of these kind of incidents are eventually traced back to shoddy maintenance by the airline companies, whose CEOs are raking in millions while they cut the budgets as much as possible.
Nuff said.

(13,003 posts)Isn't Trump's plane, the one that Epstein owned????????
Not surprising that Trump would find it most comforting if it was.....
I wonder who owns the plane, and who is providing it to Trump???? Must be a fortune to fly, maintain, Fuel, and pilots costs.....

(363 posts)...welded together. The fuselages are from separate plane designs each with it's own engineering specs, strengths and weaknesses.
Google it, you'll find this information and that decision was made by Boeing.
Add in all the other cost cutting measures they've implemented with the bastardized 737, and all other planes and you can trace them directly back to Boeing. If they didn't directly approve cost cutting measures, they demanded cost cutting measures be taken.
Boeing is the poster child of warning about capitalism and capitalists.
A capitalist will sell the machine gun which murders his granddaughter at school, if there's enough profit to be made.

Edit: Also, it's riveted, not welded.

(13,003 posts)problems prevented him from landing in Bozeman, when in reality the people he needed to refuel the plane in Bozeman, wouldn't grant him any credit for him to buy fuel in the Bozeman airport, because of a long over due bill from before?????
Trump has stiffed countless cities all over America for bills from his rallies for years and years. He is probably giving his rallys from Mar-a-Lago, because he was running out of cities to go to, because he and his campaign haven't paid their bills from the last one....

The claim: Trump couldnt land in Bozeman, Montana, because he owed the airport $12,000
{snip}
Our rating: False
The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport said Trump does not owe the airport any money. Mechanical problems prompted a landing in Billings, Montana, instead of the planned destination. Trump flew from Billings, Montana, to Bozeman, Montana, in a private charter, a City of Billings spokesperson said.

(13,003 posts)What you say is true, but Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport doesn't service planes or sell fuel...... It was reported? that the company that services and fuels aircraft in Bozeman Airport supposedly was owed money from a past visit by Trump, and was unwillingly to refuel his plane this time due to him still owing them money.......
I will check into it. But the history of him leaving a long trail of unpaid re-imbursements to everyone, including all the cities he visits would certainly make the fuel story plausible.......
He has amassed quite the reputation for bankrupting contractors and others, by not paying them for their work through out the recent decades.
I would hope that the private charter got their money up front for the flights to Bozeman and back.......

(12,482 posts)Trump just can't afford the maintenance any longer. Sometimes what the rich own becomes decrepit and shabby just like all his properties. Remember how his casino was falling apart when it was only 20 years old? Parts of the building falling off into the street. He doesn't take ca re of any thing he owns.
