Jones is not a convicted felon, am I right? He's still a private citizen as far as I know. It's just that this huge judgment is hanging over his head, and he's selling off his business and properties to pay it off.

If he tried to retrieve money from outside the US and bring it back, it would be confiscated. But if he just leaves and never comes back, I don't think Uncle Sam can do much. This really isn't my area of expertise though. I'm sure there are others on DU who know a lot more about it.
