World Bank halts paid advertising on X after CBS News finds its promoted ad under racist content.

Source: CBS News

The World Bank has ceased all paid advertising on Elon Musk's social media platform X, which was formerly Twitter, after a CBS News investigation found promoted advertisements from the organization showing up under a racist post from an account that prolifically posts pro-Nazi and white nationalist content.

CBS News found a verified X account with more than 115,000 followers that had posted a racist image alongside a post praising Europe's colonization of Africa. CBS News is not publicly identifying the accounts spreading racist content on X.

He told advertisers to go get fucked. No real judge will allow these to go through the courts. Maybe cannon or pirro will, but not real judges.

I heard something on NPR about this a few weeks ago. He’s suing media Matters and he shut down a marketing group (for small businesses) in a court room in Ft. Worth I think. None of the parties are in anyway located in Texas but the court accepted the cases and has ruled for him a couple of times already. Real reaches from the report I heard.

The World Bank has paid advertising? Why?

I am just not imagining either the investors or the recipients of The World Bank to be influenced by a paid advertisement. Aren't they kind of above the world of commerce?

I live a mostly ad-free life so I am really out of the loop on this one, but for the many decades I lived before figuring out how to live ad-free, I don't recall ever seeing anything from The World Bank anywhere.

as a way to get their messages out.

I'll assume (ass of u and me) that these groups understand that the musk-rat can fiddle with the messages and deliveries as he wants. If he decides to cut the spigot totally, where will those poor people go? Facefuck?
