Former Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard has endorsed Donald Trump's presidential bid, furthering her shift away from the party she sought to represent four years ago and linking herself to the GOP nominee's critiques of Vice President Kamala Harris and the chaotic Afghanistan War withdrawal.

Appearing Monday with Trump in Detroit, Gabbard, a National Guard veteran who served two tours of duty in the Middle East, said that the GOP nominee "understands the grave responsibility that a president and commander in chief bears for every single one of our lives."

The pair appeared at the National Guard Association of the United States on the third anniversary of the Aug. 26, 2021, suicide bombing at Hamid Karzai International Airport, which killed 13 U.S. service members and more than 100 Afghans. Gabbard accompanied Trump earlier Monday to Arlington National Cemetery, when the former president laid wreaths in honor of three of the slain service members -- Sgt. Nicole Gee, Staff Sgt. Darin Hoover and Staff Sgt. Ryan Knauss.

19. After reading her positions on a lot of things I'm kind of mixed. Some things like marriage I totally disagree with her.

But on other things like weaning off fossil fuels and supporting a national health care I support her on that one So yeah I'm kind of mixed about her.
Before her supported Trump I might be about a 50/50 now she went down to 5/95 because after his corrupt and disastrous administration there is zero reason to support him.

I'm not surprised that Gabbard endorsed Trump - I'm more surprised that she hadn't endorsed him sooner. Go back to obscurity and irrelevance, Tulsi. You dishonor military people by endorsing the guy who disrespects the military all the time.

Speaking of former Dems, I do find Dennis Kucinich to be a huge disappointment. I liked him during the Obama years, but he lost his mind in the Trump years. I remember him being super harsh to the Dems the night Trump won in 2016, criticizing them for saying that there was foreign interference in the election (there was). I last heard he was helping the RFK Jr. campaign - it's a shame to see how far he has fallen.
