This could stick. A judge should issue arrest warrants for both the VP and the convicted felon and rapist

(34,416 posts)It could shut up Trump however.
Just knowing they are facing charges is not good publicity for Trump.
They could face fines too.

They have a ton of nerve saying they are coming anyway. They should demand expenses for their visit ahead of time or refuse to give him permission to land.
And, whatever legal trouble these Haitians can bedevil them with!!

(27,789 posts)Since Vance admitted he knew it was a lie, they should succeed in holding them accountable for at least some of these charges.

Usually criminal is handled by counties
I think some large cities (like NYC) have criminal courts.

(34,416 posts)I noticed there was a felony, which will probably be thrown out because most municipal courts cannot handle felonies. Unless there is some way it could go to the DA. I think these types of criminal cases are limited to minor charges.
Some of these charges could stick and Trump could face a fine. Most municipalities do not have jails these days.
But I think overall this will be "successful" for the plaintiffs. I think it will be the equivalent of a civil case without hefty amounts of money and time involved like actual civil suits.
I think it's a good idea! It will be quick and the penalties will be light, but it should shut Trump and Vance up with regard to their false claims about Haitians. (They could also sue, but that will takes alot of time). The overall goal is to get Trump and Vance to stop their ridiculous claims.
