Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) ripped into Kash Patel at a Thursday hearing, challenging him to turn around and look Capitol police officers in the eyes and “tell them you’re proud that you raised money off of people that assaulted their colleagues.”

Patel, President Donald Trump’s pick to head the FBI, went through his first Senate confirmation hearing on Thursday where his connection to Jan. 6 Capitol rioters was the focus of some lawmakers. Patel said he had helped to raise money for the families of “non-violent” rioters behind bars by producing and promoting a song performed by rioters.

Schiff ripped into Patel and told him to tell Capitol police officers present at the hearing that he’s “proud” of his actions. Patel was also questioned about Trump’s presidential pardons of more than 1,000 rioters, including those who had been violent with police. Patel said he supported imprisoning anyone who assaults law enforcement.

7. I have been watching the clips of the hearing and noticed two things.

1). He’s been well coached. He doesn’t recall, the senators don’t have the full quote, etc.

2). He sure does say “we” a lot but can’t define exactly who “we” is. “We” made that J6 tape, but “I” had nothing to do with it. Glad Schiff called him out on that.

As far as I’m concerned, Ka$h can go we, we, we all the way home to $trump and $melania.
