National '50 States' Anti-Trump Protest Planned for Feb 5: What to Know

The movement has a website at 50501movement.carrd.co and is active on Instagram, Reddit, Bluesky, Discord and Signal.

The group is calling for protests at each state capitol building. The information and start time vary by location.

Information on 50501 Movement's Instagram at the time of writing indicates that meeting will take place at following times (local) and locations:

Different flyers indicate that the events are to speak out against Project 2025, the Trump administration, "attempts to destroy our freedoms and human rights" and "protest for freedom of speech, racial equality, women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights, public health and safety, gun violence, climate change, wealth equity."

All of the protests start at noon local time at each Capitol, so they will be starting simultaneously because of the times zone differences.

Bring a sign to hold up if you can. Even just a piece of paper that says "REJECT PROJECT 2025" or "STOP MUSK" or whatever you like. Bless you.

6. NYC here can't get to Albany

I know a lot of us in the bouroughs of nyc dont drive or have transportation to get to Albany over 3 hrs away is there anything planned in the nyc area ? If not there should be , Theres alot of options . We need people on the ground in as many places as possible .

It's a spontaneous thing. The hope is to start more protests. It's at noon local time--to get people, including Capitol state employees, to come out during their lunch hours. Stop insulting these brave folks by saying they have their "heads up their ass." If you don't want to help them, then at least don't knock them.
