Laughing Kremlin Insiders Say Trump Has Given Putin Greenlight to Expand the War
Source: Yahoo News/Daily Beast
U.S. President Donald J. Trump stunned the world by offering unprecedented concessions to Russia in its ongoing invasion of Ukraine on Wednesdayseemingly without getting anything in return. Before the formal peace talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin even started, Trump and members of his administration dismissed the idea that Ukraine could reclaim its territories that Russia currently occupies, slammed the door shut for Kyivs hope of NATO membership, and refused to acknowledge Ukraine as an equal member in the peace process.
While Ukrainians and their allies were left in disbelief, Russian state TV and radio stations were full of elated propagandists, who grinned ear to ear and periodically broke out into uproarious laughter.
During Wednesdays broadcast of the state TV program 60 Minutes, host Olga Skabeeva described the events as unthinkable and unimaginable. She asked Mikhail Antonov, the networks correspondent in Europe, What does it all mean? Ukraine is left without NATO? Ukraine is left without money? Antonov said that the era of American dominance had ended and surmised that Europe wouldnt be able to compete with the volume of military assistance America used to provide. Throughout his commentary, Skabeeva smiled broadly and couldnt hide her glee.
Co-host of 60 Minutes Evgeny Popov marveled at the fact that Trump is doing Moscows job by destroying Western alliances and sawing Europe into piecessomething that the Kremlin dreamt of doing all along.

The Art of the Deal is actually The Art of the Steal. Any hope Ukraine, Europe and those of us in the U.S. who still cherish democracy has been dashed by the weakest man on earth.
I predict that in the end, through Felon47's skillful negotiation Russia will keep all Ukrainian land it has occupied -- including Crimea -- and Ukraine will pay reparations for Russia's cost of the war. All sanctions will end immediately and Russia reimbursed by the U.S. and Europe. Putin will demand Zelensky be handed over for trial -- hopefully T***p will have the balls not to agree to that.
As part of the peace agreement, T***p will insist all of Ukraine's lithium, titanium and rare earth elements be given to him.
He will also demand to be given a Nobel Peace Prize.

trump told Putin--If you help Leon put me back in office, you can have Ukraine. I don't care what happens to them.

(13,287 posts)He knows he can extort control of Ukraine's rare earths for himself and his friends. For example, the country has a huge supply of lithium, which just happens to be the main ingredient of the batteries that power Teslas.

They have said they want the UK or other democratic countries to facilitate the process.
As it is, you've got two wolves trying to figure out how to split up the baby moose they just killed.

Putin Is Banking On a Trump Win for His New World Order
Donald Trumps nickname in the Kremlin? The American Gorbachev. Officials believe his chaos will be the downfall of the US.

Idont know which moment in American history Donald Trump imagines when he says, Make America great again. He has never given a clear answer in any speech or interview. But I know exactly which moment Vladimir Putin imagines in his own vision for Russian greatness. It is February 1945, when Stalin, Roosevelt, and Churchill divided the world in Crimea.
Three months remained before the surrender of Nazi Germany, but it was clear that the Allies were winning. To determine what the world would look like after the defeat of the Third Reich, the US president, British prime minister, and Soviet leader went to the city of Yalta, a resort area in Crimea. Stalin achieved everything he wanted: He convinced his then allies that he should have his own sphere of influence, which included all of Eastern EuropePoland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, the former Czechoslovakia, and the former Yugoslavia. The leaders also devised the United Nations Security Council, on which they secured permanent member seats for their countries.

The fantasies of Kremlin strategists have developed like this: A new Yalta Conference with Putin and Trump might not necessarily take place in Crimea. For greater symbolism, somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, roughly equidistant from Russia and the US, would be more suitable. My sources in Moscow, who wish to remain anonymous for security reasons, suggest that such a summit could look good on Fiji. The Pacific archipelago is conveniently equidistant from Russia and the US.
Putins entourage understands that despite his ambitions, he is not like Stalin in 1945, and todays Russia is no match for the Soviet Union. Therefore, the dreams of the current Kremlin inhabitants suggest that another participant in the new Big Three should be China, represented by Xi Jinping. They believe that the real Cold War is beginning between China and the US, so the upcoming Yalta: Fiji should formulate the rules of this confrontation. And Putin is ready to be content with the role of the third partner, a kind of modern-day Churchill. Of course, he wants to secure his place on the global board of directors that is the UN Security Council and expects to be allotted his sphere of influence: the countries of the former Soviet Union.

For them, Mikhail Gorbachev is not a democrat or a reformer. For former KGB officers, Gorbachev is a demagogue and a narcissist who desperately wanted to please the audience but had no plan of action; a president whose policies were so chaotic that the empire began to fall apart, with different parts declaring their independence. This is wishful thinking, but Putins inner circle would like to believe that Trump could become just such a president.

America's main adversary, Russia, helped Trump win in 2016, 2020 and, just going from the million-plus bots on X, in 2024. Kile Gorbachev did to the USSR, Putin wired Thump to destroy the United States of America. And to think We the People handed the reigns of power to Putin's tool without even raising one question about the legitimacy of the election makes me sick.
