Kash Patel confirmed to run the FBI

Patel escaped crashing out of the confirmation votes by a narrow margin. Two Republicans, Sens. Susan Collins (ME) and Lisa Murkowski (AK), voted against him, while all Democrats opposed him.
The final vote was 51-49.

Trump himself is deranged and he surrounds himself with the craziest people. It is hard to tell which of his lieutenants is crazier. Kash Patel is up there. He is obviously a madman and I do not say this lightly. I have a bipolar diagnosis and I have met a lot of people with mental health issues in my life. Some are good people, some are not. I have personally met a number of sociopaths. I think that Patel is one. A paranoid Q Anon conspiracy nut. Now in charge of the FBI. God help us all.
