Source: ABC News

Three people were shot and killed in a parking lot outside a driver's licensing office in Louisville, Kentucky, on Friday, police said.

A male victim died at the scene while two female victims died at a hospital, Louisville police said. No suspect is in custody, police said. Witnesses said the suspect appeared to flee the scene, according to police.

"There does not seem to be a public threat," police said at a news conference.

Authorities didn't discuss any potential connection between the victims.

Only in the US can a police officer say there is no threat to the public with a murder suspect at large.

McConnell has been a fierce opponent of gun restrictions throughout his 35-year Senate career and has reaped the benefits of a close relationship with the National Rifle Association.

And poor, long-suffering Columbine massacre victim Anne Marie Hochhalter recently passed.

America suffers warzone casualties every year without a foreign invader. The shootings are dispersed throughout the country, but the CDC and the Gun Violence Archive tabulate the national casualty count. The US should consider deploying US Navy Corpsmen or US Army medics throughout the country to triage our daily casualties.
