Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Friday that he was firing Adm. Lisa Franchetti, the first female officer to rise to the Navys top job of chief of naval operations, and would be looking for her replacement.
The announcement came in a statement emailed to reporters Friday night, shortly after President Trump said he was firing Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr., the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Mr. Hegseth said in his statement that he would also replace Gen. James C. Slife, the Air Forces vice chief of staff, as well as the top uniformed lawyers for the Army, Navy and Air Force.
Both Admiral Franchetti and General Slife have had distinguished careers, Mr. Hegseth said, adding We thank them for their service and dedication to our country.

What a lousy, filthy disgrace Hegseth is. I wonder if he had the courage to fire the Admiral himself.

He Fires the first female officer to rise to the Navys top job of chief of naval operations. Why? Because she's a woman. Not because she did a bad job, not because she spoke out against his Nazi pals. Just because she's female. Maybe he'll get alcohol poisoning.

(12,981 posts)On this military takeover is all the fuck I care to hear from about this shit.
How many American veterans went to fight in Ukraine to stop Putins mass murder take over? How many can we depend on to lead us here that are willing to have the courage of Ukraine Men AND Women to fight for their country and freedom?
I have my doubts how many Americans would follow any patriots that refuse to lay down and take it.
We are rapidly losing any and all possibilities to end this regime.
Schumer leading a geriatric we will win cheer leader episode on the steps of the capital is not gonna rally many to have the courage of Ukraine civilians.
I feel a helplessness that the California people did as the see all they own burn to the ground.
The American wildfire is in the canopy of trees with 100 mph winds from the right, with a nationwide drought. And GQP with drip touches, lighting fires from coast to coast. (Using billionaire crude as fuel)

(18,549 posts)Although given the fact that the Administration is advancing blind loyalists first ahead of any other concerns, it is reasonable to speculate that it's probably not high.
But to have standing for a lawsuit, one must first demonstrate that injury has been done. Difficult to do in this case.
