2025 general election results: John Ewing Jr. wins mayoral race after Jean Stothert concedes

OMAHA, Neb. —
John Ewing Jr. is the next mayor of Omaha.
At her Election Night event, incumbent Jean Stothert said she called Ewing and conceded in the race.
The Douglas County Treasurer is the first Black mayor in the history of Omaha.

In the primary last month, Stothert was the leading vote getter. The result (rounded) was 56-44% for Ewing, the Democrat. Republican Congressman Bacon has to be taking a hard look at these results in this Blue Dot district. I did not vote in the Primary, but I did today.
