Trump threatens Chris Christie after ABC News interview: 'For the sake of justice'

President Donald Trump threatened one of his former associates on Sunday after he saw an interview they did with ABC News earlier in the day.

Chris Christie, who advised Trump during his first term, joined the ABC News show "This Week" on Sunday to discuss recent moves the Trump administration made. At one point, Christie said Trump sees himself as "the person who gets to decide everything" and that he "rejects the idea that there should be any separation between criminal investigations and the politically elected leader of the United States."

Trump responded to Christie's claims on Truth Social on Sunday night. "I just watched Sloppy Chris Christie be interviewed on a ratings challenged “News” Show, “This Week With George Slopadopolus,” on ABC Fake News," Trump's post began.

"Can anyone believe anything that Sloppy Chris says?" Trump's post reads. "Do you remember the way he lied about the dangerous and deadly closure of the George Washington Bridge in order to stay out of prison, at the same time sacrificing people who worked for him, including a young mother, who spent years trying to fight off the vicious charges against her."

13. Christie was still supporting him during recent elections

He just wants a different face of the GOP but in 2020, while he wasn't in favor of Mr Tangerine he did say that the GOP must support him in the general election. And lots of not great things while in office in NJ. Yes he did act respectfully with President Obama, but lots of other things about Christie were off. I personally had to join with other guardians and sue him personally on behalf of my institutionalized sister to stop his Gubernatorial Administration's rule breaking corrupt attempt to sell off one of the landmark facilities caring for the developmentally disabled down in Vineland, NJ. We won as the move was lawless but current laws and rules coming out of this administration and congress might make it harder to fight corrupt government maneuvers.
