Gerrymandered maps struck down in Utah

A judge threw out Utah’s congressional maps and ordered the Legislature to draw new districts that comply with the 2018 voter-backed Better Boundaries initiative, which sought to ban partisan gerrymandering.

With all the gerrymandering threats between TX and CA, an Utah judge just threw out the highly gerrymandered maps here in Utah. This could potentially bring us one more Democratic seat in 2026.

The amount of time it would take to redraw a map and get another ruling would be enough of an excuse to use a more poorly drawn map.

Because it will be fought since Utah is a repub trifecta state.
