Some jurisdictions recogonize a "motion for a more specific pleading."

Also, when the the initial pleading (the "complaint" ) is deemed to be vague or improperly structured, the plaintiff has the right to file an amended compliant within a set period of time after the vagueness or structuring issue is raised.
