Newsom Rips Trump's 'Rose Garden Club' at the WH: 'Cheersing Diet Cokes' While Economy Is Tanking

As GOP members of Congress flooded social media with photos of the inaugural dinner at the White House “Rose Garden Club,” California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) denounced the lavish display in light of the unsteady economy.

“Our economy is in a downward spiral, but don’t worry — the @GOP are spending their time cheersing Diet Cokes at a new, exclusive ‘club.'”

Newsom retweeted House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R) post from the event, where he wrote, “The grand opening of the new Rose Garden Club at the White House last night was epic. Thanks to @realDonaldTrump for his hospitality & visionary leadership.”

The dinner was held on the same day that disappointing job numbers pointed to a slowing economy and refueled talk of recession.

Look at those hideous chairs. Every time you get up or scoot in the chair feet make a farting sound. Perhaps appropriate. They're probably leftover inventory from the cancelled donald trump furniture collection. But I bet the DNA from the strands of hair caught in the velcro cushion straps could solve a cold case or two somewhere.

No decor on the patio. No trellises. No art. No potted plants.

And the food. Were the Big Macs even made today?

Another thought which crossed my mind was that the VP's official residence is on the grounds of the Naval Observatory, so his security detain might very well include Navy .... maybe Turnip just ordered them to play attendant at the WH instead ??? Gotta have some abuse with our waste and fraud, I guess.
