'People stuck': US Open delays match after Trump's attendance backs up traffic for hours

US Open organizers delayed the final match of the tournament over the weekend after President Donald Trump's attendance caused attendees to experience a delay of over an hour in reaching the event.

"As a result of the security measures in place, and to ensure that fans have additional time to get to their seats, we have pushed the start time of today's match to 2:30 pm ET," the US Open said Sunday on X..

The announcement came after reports of traffic being backed up for miles.

"All general parking for the US Open has been fully blocked for Trump for the past hour and a half," John Palmer noted. "Thousands of people on the highway just stuck outside for an hour, unable to enter."
