Senate GOP frustration grows after quick exits of key Trump officials

Source: The Hill

Senate Republicans are growing increasingly frustrated after a series of President Trump’s nominees tapped to key posts have been ousted or have left after only a short stint in office, leaving lawmakers scratching their heads after they poured considerable time and effort into their confirmations.

At least five such people have departed for various reasons, but a majority have left after dust-ups with key administration officials. Former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Susan Monarez and ex-IRS Commissioner Billy Long serve as prime examples.

This is grating on GOP members, who have complained loudly about having to use the full Senate clock to confirm nominees because of a Democratic blockade and would prefer to not waste their time only to see a confirmed figure go belly up in short order.

“It reminds me of Spinal Tap concerts. … It’s like every time we turn around, somebody’s blowing up,” Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) said. “It’s just not a very efficient use of resources.”

Tillis didn't come up with that on his own. One of his staffers fed him that line. Coming from him it's very lame.

Only Trump cabinet secretaries matter now. Government is shrinking.

The GOP is frustrated about having to use the full Senate clock to confirm these unqualified nominees because of a Democratic blockade. The BLOCKADE is the only power the Democrats have since the republicans are intent are giving unwavering support to the idiot in the white house. If they would do their jobs, you know, some actual research about the fitness and competence of the nominee, and/or approach Democrats for a bit of negotiating or compromise, maybe the whole country would be better served. They have no one to blame but themselves. I’m sure their phones and e-mails were blazing pre-confirmation, but they obviously chose not to weight negative input. Blindly (or lazily, or stupidly) following President Pedo has brought them to this place where they look like the clowns they are, parading after the clown-in-chief. An inefficient use of resources? The GOP (Guardians of Pedophiles) are superb at waste, fraud and abuse.

The orange buffoon is running the White House like his tabloid Apprentice show! Let’s see, how many cabinet and administration people did Biden fire or they quit?🤔🤔 Trump is running a shite show at our expense! Will we be bankruptcy #6?
