Sending packages this holiday season? USPS to raise prices for limited time

If you are planning to send gifts or letters this holiday season, it will cost you more than usual. The U.S. Postal Service is raising prices for a limited time during the peak holiday season this year to help cover extra handling costs.
It will affect prices on several services, including:
Priority Mail Express Priority Mail USPS Ground Advantage Parcel Select
The temporary rates will go into effect on Oct. 5, and remain in place until Jan. 18, 2026.

(10,478 posts)price gouging in my day. And, I'm bad at math, but doesn't the fact that each of those additional packages get paid for when mailed cover the cost of handling the additional packages?
