White House reviewing possible funding cuts for Portland amid immigration protests

President Trump has directed aides to review aid for Portland, Ore., that could be cut amid immigration protests in the city, the White House said Friday.

“He has directed his team here at the White House to begin reviewing aid that can be potentially be cut in Portland. We will not fund states that allow anarchy,” press secretary Karoline Leavitt said during a press briefing.

Trump has directed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to “provide all necessary troops to protect war-ravaged Portland and any ICE facilities under siege from attack by Antifa and other left-wing domestic terrorists,” Leavitt added.

The National Guard had previously mobilized 200 troops in response to an announcement from Trump that he would intervene in the city.

in blue states as well. They will be as screwed over as the dems that the fuhrer is going after. It is obvious that he really doesn’t care. Nor do they! But they will. It’s just a matter of time.
I don’t believe that the American public understands the scope of destruction that we are witnessing. As was posted on DU yesterday (?) most of us aren’t concerned enough about the rot that’s killing our cherished democracy because it hasn't hit at our own front door, but it will. It’s all just a matter of time, unless of course, there’s revolt from within, which again, would be ugly. We ain’t seen nothin yet.
