Bold plan for dealing with district court judges floated at the FedSoc Lawyers Convention.
The Federalist Society’s annual lawyers meeting is going on in Washington D.C., and yesterday there was a panel on Judicial Oversight of District Courts after Trump v. CASA, limiting lower courts’ ability to issue universal injunctions to block the enforcement of policies. Though conservatives won that case, and have a wildly partisan win rate at the Supreme Court, panelist Chad Mizelle, former chief of staff to the Attorney General, still finds plenty to complain about.

Mizelle’s comments called out district courts that have tried to place constitutional speed bumps on the Trump agenda. Like his former boss, Mizelle says these are liberal judges that aren’t acting in good faith (never mind that Reagan-appointed judges are leading the charge). And he knows what we should do about it. Impeach them.

A federal judge is impeached through a two-step process in Congress: first, the House of Representatives impeaches the judge by a simple majority vote, and second, the Senate conducts a trial and must convict with a two-thirds supermajority vote to remove the judge from office. The bottom line is these right wing nut jobs can babble BS all they want, impeachment ain’t gonna happen!

Impeachment is a slim-to-none possibility at this point but conviction is totally impossible. But like the other vindictive prosecutions, there's still the inconvenience of having to legally respond.

and they know that while you might be able to impeach in the House, there is no way in hell, you will find 67 votes in the senate to convict and remove.
