I think time is another thing not on his side

I think he has been a rather lackluster Congressman given that he has the son and namesake of a well liked ( among Republicans and some independents) Republican governor.

The first time I heard much about him was when he ran against Menendez for the Senate seat. menendez had been appointed to it when Corzine went from the Senate to the governorship. He ran a nasty race and lost.

He has always gained some votes either because people thought the Thomas Kean Jr running was his dad or simply the goodwill that many had towards him because of his dad. Each election, a lower percent remember his dad all that much.
