CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss will have to look elsewhere as she reboots the networks flagship nightly news broadcast after CNN mainstay Anderson Cooper struck a new deal to stay at the cable news channel for the foreseeable future.
Variety reported on Monday that Cooper signed a new contract with the network in recent weeks that will ensure he will stay in his primetime cable news perch for the time being.
Besides hosting the longtime weeknight staple Anderson Cooper 360, Cooper anchors a Sunday night newsmagazine-style program and recently launched All These Is, a new podcast on grief and loss. On top of that, Cooper is the face of the networks New Years Eve programming, co-hosting the countdown from Times Square alongside his close pal Andy Cohen.
CNN declined to comment about the contract extension or the terms of Coopers deal.

Not to mention all of the anti-LGBTQ policies instituted by this vile administration. I guess it's better for them to just pretend that things are "normal" and continue to collect their "noice" paychecks.

He's branching out of his typical roles because he's become a grief doula. I had no idea Weiss is gay, nor does it matter. Sounds like a "gay agenda" position you're spouting. Carry on.

I saw a therapist for a year and eventually quit the medication and her because Andersons shows worked for me. I feel like Ive moved past the hardest part.

(14,154 posts)My loss of loved ones has been for the most part timely and expected (age, long term illness) and even though I continue to love and miss them, the grief was as expected. But my heart breaks for friends and even strangers who face devastating grief that often comes with unexpected death, particularly of a child. I cant imagine suffering pain like that day to day. Whatever events caused your struggle, I am so happy that you have been helped.
