Person of interest in custody after fatal Brown University shooting, official says

A person of interest was taken into custody early Sunday in connection with the fatal mass shooting at Brown University, according to Kristy DosReis, a spokesperson for the Providence Police Department.
The person in custody was caught about 3:45 a.m. at a hotel in Coventry, R.I., about 28 miles south of Providence, according to law enforcement sources and Coventry police. ..............
A tip from the public led police to a Hampton Inn in Coventry, where the person of interest was detained, according to sources.
A federal source told ABC News the person was only being called a person of interest at this point, but added that they were confident they were on the right track....................

So glad they got him finally.
At the time the person was detained, the individual was allegedly in possession of two guns, according to sources.

Not that I want to see more cameras invading our lives, but if anywhere they should be on campuses not intersections capturing our license plates.

One time this lady sleeping in her car. (not that she was homeless, just looking at a 3 hour drive late at night, people do sleep in cars here so they drive alert) and some guy was going around breaking into cars with a tire iron, saw her pocketbook on the seat beside her and beat her with the iron when she wouldn't give it up. Police knocked on all the doors on adjoining streets, then expanded out 6 streets in all directions for ring camera vids which sometimes pick up cars. Took them 3 days as the guy was from out of town but they got him. Don't like people beating on women here. I'll bet they knocked on a few hundred doors.
