'Unhappy slaves': Belgian PM says Trump has gone too far with Greenland threats

But now so many red lines have been crossed that you have to choose your self-respect. Being a happy vassal is one thing. Being an unhappy slave is something else entirely, he said.
The pressure he put on the allies was, until now, somewhat rationally explainable: we were not spending enough on defence. He had a point there, De Wever added.
But threatening NATO allies with military intervention on NATO territory is so unprecedented that we are really approaching a breaking point.

It will be one against all, but also all against one as far as I am concerned.

Much more at the link.
He also said that it's up to Trump "to decide whether he wants to be a monster yes or no."

(60,343 posts)I've seen so damn many interviews with MAGAts whose image of Trump as a genius businessman sacrificing himself to save America seems largely based on that show.

(60,343 posts)around him and less powerful nations he (Trump) believes are militarily and/or economically dependent as vassals, and making it clear he (the PM) thinks Trump is treating them more as slaves. Which he is.

Unfortunately, he's not a lone wolf.
I'd like to offer a suggestion:

*psychopath indicates that the disorder has a genetic basis, sociopath, that the basis is societal. I'm unequivocal in my stance because of his familial history and because of the expanded knowledge of the genetics of mental health disorders that supports the notion. He has benefited (his pathology is exacerbated and sustained) from and by the support for his psychopathic personality by the many other psychopaths that exist among us in the US population.
