Bovino says agents in latest fatal Minneapolis shooting 'likely' assigned to administrative duties

Border Patrol commander-at-large Gregory Bovino said Sunday that the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents involved in the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis will likely be assigned to administrative duties. “These Border Patrol agents are going to more than likely be on administrative duty, but they will remain Border Patrol agents,” Bovino told host Dana Bash on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

Bovino added that the agents will be taken off the streets in Minneapolis, but will still take part in operations in other cities that CBP and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are embedded in.

Bystander footage of Saturday’s incident shows multiple agents surrounding Pretti — a local ICU nurse attempting to assist a woman on the ground — and pushing him to the ground. One agent then appears to grab a gun holstered to Pretti’s hip; Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told reporters after the incident that the 37-year-old U.S. citizen was a lawful gun owner with a permit to carry.

After the agent retrieved Pretti’s firearm, another agent fired multiple shots at him. Pretti later died from his wounds at a local hospital. Bovino said Sunday that Pretti was “actively impeding” and “assaulting” the agents prior to the shooting. But videos show the man filming agents before he was pushed to the ground and shot, directly contradicting the border patrol chief.

BUT, those thugs should most definitely rot in a prison cell for the rest of their miserable lives.

... we just put them in jail. That's what we'd do if we cared about public safety.

this agency needs to be abolished. He and Noem should be up on charges. How many innocent people will they get away with murdering before they are stopped?

The footage from that camera would be more evidence of the truth. I guess it wasn't connected to a cloud service like smartphone cameras can be??? (I dont know)
