Cannon faces fresh appellate review of her pro-Trump actions on Jack Smith report

Source: MS NOW News

Aileen Cannon hasn’t had a great run at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, at least not when it comes to her handling of Donald Trump-related litigation.

The federal appeals court that covers Florida, where the Trump-appointed trial judge sits, has chided her multiple times, most recently calling out the judge’s “undue delay” in ruling on motions seeking the release of former special counsel Jack Smith’s classified documents case report.

Cannon issued another Trump-friendly ruling in response to the circuit court forcing her to finally rule, and now the circuit will have another chance to review her work. Though the appeals court’s past critiques of Cannon’s actions don’t mean it will necessarily reverse her again, the appellate judges will likely be taking a close look.

Their latest opportunity to review the district judge comes from appeals brought by the groups American Oversight and the Knight First Amendment Institute, which are pressing for the report’s release.

of keeping. As soon as her usefulness ends she will join the list of persona non gratis. I really hope that she gets screwed over by him - she's earned the humiliation by being such a partisan hack.

protecting her now.

The only chance we have is at the polls, and vote these thugs out. I only hope it isn't too late.

Perhaps, she and Maxwell could be roomies! After Maxwell is sent back to max security. Honestly, I'd rather my tax dollars weren't used to feed either of them.

If he is going to do it, it would have to be this year while the GOP has a couple vote majority in the Senate and the threats would force all of them to ram through a new nominee (only needs a simple majority).

They can pay Alito and Thomas to retire. They'd probably rather not be working anyway, and they'll want to help the cause.

Her handling of the Mar A Lago case was clearly partisan. They should have impeached her then.
