Trump's bizarre Valentine's Day fundraising letter asked do you still love me? - and E Jean Carroll said she received it

Source: The Independent

Sunday 15 February 2026 15:00 EST

E. Jean Carroll, the writer who won an $83.3 million defamation lawsuit against President Donald Trump after he denied sexually abusing her, said she received a Valentine’s Day-themed fundraising email from a political action committee associated with the president that asks “do you still love me?”

The email, from “secret admirer Donald J. Trump,” begs people to read the “love letter” from the president and prove their devotion with a monetary donation.

“Roses are red, violets are blue. Do you still love Trump, as I love you?” the email from the PAC Never Surrender Inc. says. “Before you read my letter – do you still love me and our great movement?” It adds, with a photo of Trump putting a Valentine's Day card in a mailbox. “I love you, and I was pretty sure you loved me back! Is everything ok?”

Carroll wrote on X: “Yes. This is a real email. No .I did not sign up on this mailing list. Yes. We are living in a crazy world.”

He doesn’t have to go in as one big, flabby chunk… I’m sure we could make it work.

I have a separate email account set up just for Trump. In the past 6 weeks I’ve received 255 emails. Every single one is a fundraiser including that one. Some of them are really bizarre.

And these are just from Trump, none are from GOP candidates. His grift is constant.

of escrow but when it comes time to pay up, there’ll be nothing left. Name then the reason(s) for that and the result will still be the same -
she’ll get zilch.

Judge affirms $83.3 million verdict against Donald Trump in E. Jean Carroll defamation case

Source: CNN Politics

(snip)

This will be the second judgment Carroll has won against Trump. Last year a jury awarded her $5 million in damages after finding Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation for denying Carroll’s rape allegation, saying she wasn’t his type, and suggesting she made up the story to sell copies of a book.

Trump set aside $5.5 million in an account that is controlled by the court. That money will not be released until all appeals, including potentially to the Supreme Court, are exhausted. Last May, Trump appealed the verdict to the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals, which has not yet heard arguments.

And with respect to the $83 million -

Judge approves Trump's $91.6 million bond in E. Jean Carroll defamation case

Judge Lewis Kaplan has approved Donald Trump's $91,630,000 bond in the defamation case brought by columnist E. Jean Carroll, according to an order filed Tuesday afternoon.

"Enforcement of the Judgment, to the extent that the Judgment awards damages, is STAYED pending the final disposition of the appeal by the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit," the order said.

The order stayed the execution of the judgment in the case while Trump appeals. If Trump's appeal is unsuccessful, the bond ensures Carroll will be paid.

The former president had obtained an appeals bond from the Virginia-based Federal Insurance Company totaling $91,630,000 to cover the $83 million judgment in the case plus interest, according to a court filing on Friday. The conditions of the bond did not specify what assets Trump used to secure the bond.

(snip)

He has NO CONTROL over that money. The COURTS control it.

I don't know, maybe there's a mole working in the White House, and they thought it would be funny/cute to send it to E. Jean?

Or more likely what happened is that a lazy staffer obtained some "political donors" list and E. Jean was on there. They were too lazy to go through the list and remove the obviously inappropriate ones.
