New York Post Gives Anthony Weiner a Fake Wall Street Job
Source: NYMAG.COM
The New York Post reported this morning that pre-Snapchat sexter and former U.S. congressman Anthony Weiner was going to Wall Street. Citing "sources," the Post reported that Weiner has landed a part-time gig as "a consultant at Concept Capital Markets, a Madison Avenue brokerage firm."
That's news to Robert E. Moore, the CEO of Concept Capital Markets, who told us he's never met Weiner and hasn't offered him any kind of job.
"We've never met him, never talked to him, never seen him," Moore said. "We don't know how that story started."
Moore sent a memo to his employees this morning, calling the Post's story "inaccurate," and saying: "Concept Capital Markets has not engaged former congressman Anthony Weiner."

The Post made it up. Just like Fox does all the time.

(36,009 posts)political talent. Forgive his past, embrace his professional talents and let's get another fighting progressive in there with Grayson.
...I love the Weiner!
Weiner's "scandal" would have barely registered if he was a republican from somewhere outside of New York.

(11,464 posts)if he wants to serve, why doesn't he just do it?
You know, Jerry Brown was Governor. He ran for President. Then he found smaller positions to fill so he could just serve the people. He didn't whine, he just did.
A mayor job here, a AG job there.
So why doesn't Weiner just take a position somewhere?
to serve is what is important, the title is not.
He already could have run for assembly or fill out some position or other, then run for the house again, or something else.
Same with Spitzer
Run for the election board.
Move to VA and run there.
Being that his wife is most likely going to do something in Hillary's administration in 2017, find a small position and by then work his way back up.
After all, in 2014, there are only a few dozen seats we need to win that are currently red, you mean there is not one somewhere he could fill, and win?
Surely there is some place he could win something at.
Nothing is stopping him, should he actually want to serve the people and act like a good adult
and not a spoiled brat teen.

(36,009 posts)Somebody's got to be the responsible parent, heh heh. When Hilary resigns soon, perhaps his wife will leave, too, and he can be freer to re-enter public life. Hoping...

(11,464 posts)if he doesn't want a job, that's his right
if he does, he should just do it and not necessarily in NYC either.
Find a place in Georgetown, in MD, in VA, upstate new york where there are plenty of red seats to take over
just should do it
