Officials scramble to find 'positive' news to 'soothe' Trump after Iran reversal: report

Source: Raw Story

April 8, 2026 9:16AM ET

Trump administration officials are scrambling to find “positive” media coverage of President Donald Trump regarding his decision to accept a tentative ceasefire agreement with Iran, with one senior official fearing the president’s hatred of “being humiliated” may lead him to reignite the conflict and spark an “Iran-war apocalypse,” Zeteo reported on Wednesday.

“A problem is Donald Trump hates being humiliated,” a senior Trump administration official told Zeteo, speaking on the condition of anonymity. “He is going to see coverage that he was beat by the Iranians. I am expecting that to change his thinking.”

The senior official said that they and other aides were working to “get a bunch of ‘positive’ media coverage” of Trump “to soothe his ego,” Zeteo reported. The official added that they also planned to engage MAGA influencers and other right-wing media figures to help shape favorable coverage of Trump’s decision to halt plans to destroy Iran’s entire civilization.

Portraying Trump’s agreement to a ceasefire as a victory, however, will be “hard to support,” Zeteo argued, given that the conflict has sent prices soaring across the globe, resulted in the deaths of 13 U.S. service members, and failed to topple Iran’s government – a frequently but inconsistently cited objective of the war.

My first thought was was for them to just go to their usual mouthpieces like Faux and OAN and Newsmax, etc. But then I realized that those outlets were trashing him too!

It's completely decoupled from reality.

As long as the regime keeps shoveling billions of our tax dollars into the unregulated AI takeover of government functions, and as long as the companies that dominate the indexes keep up their unregulated, incestuous, circular financing deals to artificially inflate values, the indexes will continue to be a "reality-free" zone

All of his choices are driven by the needs of his tumescent ego and follow a recurring pattern. He needs to inflate his importance constantly. His plans must exhibit dominance. When his ego needs don't mesh with reality he needs to lie about his success and blame others for any and all failures. Realistic plans and policies require coordination with others, the flexibility to adapt to circumstances, and the patience to persevere until a stated objective is reached. Trump lives inside the news cycle and just wants to make it to the next commercial break.

Laugh at and humiliate the ever loving shit out of him. For my friend who died from covid, but didnt have to. For all of the Americans who died from covid, needlessly. For Alex Pretti and Renee Good. For our dead and wounded service members. For all of the women/girls he has abused.

This past weekend, the deranged juvenile delinquent currently soiling the Oval Office, Capitol Hill, America’s Constitution and the country itself proved beyond any doubt that he could very soon escalate to NUCLEAR threats– if Iran continues to fight back against his unapproved personal war. Trump must GO. Before impeachment, though, it might be more effective for Democrats to (1) Ask VP Vance and Trump’s Cabinet members to sign a “Formal Intention of 25th-Amendment Removal,” (2) Launch that process if enough people comply, or (3) If too many decline, proceed to impeach-- in a single class action--   “Trump, Vance, and all Cabinet members who refuse to remove Trump despite his proven, overwhelming unfitness to remain in office. To remove those who refuse to do their Constitutionally mandated jobs.”   This would be (adapting Trump's favorite hyperbole)  a shot "unlike anything the world has ever seen” across his corrupt Administration’s bow.   It would, at the very least, strongly remind Capitol Hill that Justice is on the way. Regardless of how many patriotic Americans Trump's criminal Administration jails or how many future elections they try to steal, Justice is coming. [Oh, and we must keep demanding the rest of the Epstein Files in BIG BOLD TEXT!]
