I have been leaning toward Steyer. At this point, his not being a typical politician is a plus. There's no telling how the Swalwell fiasco is going to end up tarnishing the other candidates in the race who had a relationship with him. They're going to start distancing themselves, and that may only serve to highlight their relationship. Guilt by association is a real thing. There’s already reporting that Swalwell’s behavior was a discussion in the DC whisper ecosphere. Who knew about it when?

2. It's important that CA Ds coalesce behind one candidate in the race.

In CA, the top two candidates in the primary run against each other. That often means two Ds, but it could be two Rs if multiple D choices end up so splitting the vote that the Rs win with maybe 15% each.

4. I'm for Steyer.

He's well educated, with a great family legacy, and Gov Newsom entrusted him to run CA's post-covid economic recovery, all of which are a big deal.

5. I mentioned Steyer at my family's Easter dinner and

it turns out my liberal family is also interested in supporting Steyer too. I liked him when he was running before and I still like him. He is a genuine politician and his opinions have remained unchanged. He backs what he says and is not a hypocrite (so far anyway).

My brother in law thinks his error was running as a Dem and not a Progressive.

in the past week. My guess is they’re being financed only by the right wing.

9. I've been a Katie Porter supporter since she ran for the Senate.

And it pisses me off to hear people complain on social media that she's a b----. So she got ticked at some staffers. If a man had done that, the same wags wouldn't have complained. Porter will make a great governor. I hope she wins.
