A shooting at Mexicos Teotihuacán pyramids has left at least one person dead and several people injured, Mexicos security cabinet said Monday.
According to preliminary information, a man fired shots at the popular archaeological site, killing a Canadian woman before taking his own life, the cabinet said on X.
Authorities say they have seized a firearm, a bladed weapon and live cartridges at the site.
At least six people were injured four by gunshots and two by falling and they are receiving medical attention, the State of Mexico said.

Do I believe the Earth has chakras? No. But, if I am wrong, and the Earth actually has energy centers, Teo would certainly be one of them.
Regardless of whether one believes in geo-chakras, it is especially ironic that a shooting occurred there.

(6,091 posts)I have climbed the steps to the top of the Pyramid of the Sun. An amazing view from there. You can see so much. But it was an arduous and somewhat treacherous climb. Steps are very uneven. I can see where people could fall and even die on those steps. So sad that someone chose such a beautiful and peaceful place to do kill and do violence.
