Secret Service agent hit by buckshot from the gun of man charged in correspondents' dinner attack, prosecutor says

Source: PBS

WASHINGTON (AP) — Authorities have determined that buckshot from the gun of the man charged with trying to storm the White House Correspondents' Association dinner in an attempt to kill President Donald Trump struck a Secret Service agent, according to the federal prosecutor overseeing the investigation.

Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, said last week there was no evidence the agent was hit by friendly fire during the incident at a Washington hotel on April 25, but she went beyond that Sunday in saying a shot from one of Cole Tomas Allen's weapons hit the officer's bullet-resistant vest.

"We now can establish that a pellet that came from the buckshot from the defendant's Mossberg pump-action shotgun was intertwined with the fiber of the vest of the Secret Service officer," she told CNN's "State of the Union." "It is definitively his bullet."

Allen, who remains behind bars for now pending his trial, was injured during the attack but was not shot. The officer survived.

The shot would have knocked the keystone cop back to the wall at such close range

A shotgun is really hard to fire sideways while running, where's the kickback? muzzle flash?

It was friendly fire and this cover up is criminal

Equal and opposite reaction. People only fly through the air from shotguns in movies. I can’t speak to flash as I didn’t see a video of it firing.

If he did fire the shotgun 🙄 with buckshot he’d have been ripped up. Everywhere the vest wasn’t.
One pellet hit? One?

The DC cop clearly shot the agent.

A shotgun is not a handgun is not a basic rifle is not an automated assault rifle... A shotgun scatters pellet at distance but at close contact would have blown the agent across the room and loaded up that vest with shot pellets.

Friendly fire attempting to be masked in the most clumsy and unbelievable way, I'd say.... Not to mention coming from this woman makes it even more unbelievable.

At 10-15', all 9 pellets are still so closely packed they'd all go in a 2" circle. Speaking from personal experience from years of shotgun use.

But only ONE pellet was recovered?

(Not a gun expert here,... just try ing to rationalize the validity of this story from these known liars and prevaricators.)

... of the space in question at the Washington DC - Hilton Hotel - where another alledge assassination attempt of trDUMP transpired.

Yes ?

trDUMP's USDOJ - Acting Atty. Gen.: Todd Blanche + Judge Jean Winebox Pirro and FBI Director: KKKegsbreath drinking buddy,... KKKa$h Patel - none of which can ever be trusted to tell the truth.

Now contend a single shotgun pellet from a shot gun fired by the perp hit the Secret Service agent on his bulletproof vest. This is alleged where the "evidence proves" the phantom ballistic piece now alledgedly originated from.

Can the Inspector General from the USDOJ and the Inspector General from the FBI forensically confirm the contention that a shotgun pellet hit the Secret Service agent in his bulletproof vest. And where are the remaining shotgun pellets they say was fired from the fired shotgun embedded at ? There must be 30 or 40 individual shotgun pellets missing from the allegedly fired shotgun shell. Where might those be located to corroborate this brand new contention ?

is 9 x 0.33" pellets.

The shot pattern (for cylinder choke) expands radially at ~2" per yard traveled.

There is no way to determine with certainty that a shotgun pellet came from a specific shotgun as there are no lands and groves in a shotgun barrel to leave an identifying mark on the pellet (not that is an absolute link to any firearm...this ain't TV).

The best that they can claim and claim to show

1. The alleged shooter was armed with a shotgun.
2. The shotgun was loaded with [insert specific round here].
3. No other officer was armed with a shotgun.
4. There was one spent cartridge ejected or still in the chamber.

One question that I have:

There is a video showing the alleged gunman entering a doorway with no long gun visible. A folding shotgun by Mossberg, when folded, is ~30" in length which is not easily concealable, so where did it come from?
