All 50 states top $4 a gallon gas as Iran war impacts linger

Source: msn/Axios

All 50 states have average gas prices above $4 a gallon, AAA said Wednesday, with seven now topping $5 a gallon.

Why it matters: As the war with Iran approaches the three-month mark, soaring fuel prices are costing Americans millions of dollars a day, crushing small business profits, and driving a surge in inflation.

Driving the news: The national average now stands at $4.56 a gallon, AAA said.

  • California is the nation's high, at $6.15 per gallon, while Georgia is the lowest at $4.01 a gallon.
  • Some southern states had been holding the line at $3.98 or $3.99 a gallon in recent days.

  • Stunning stat: The average price of a gallon of gas is up 53% since the war started.

When I was downtown in Philly Monday afternoon, the Lukoil down there (which is near the historic area and I-95) was something ridiculous like $5.59/gal (they are always high due to the location).

    10. It's not just gasoline, we're also talking diesel, jet fuel, and home heating fuel.

And there are thousands of petroleum based products that will also see higher prices.
But Donnie Dumbass doesn't have to concern himself with that. As president, he doesn't pay for any of that stuff.
His only concerns are ways to acquire more money, and get his name on buildings, roads, monuments; anything to create a lasting testimonial to his greatness.

I think there should be a Federal Prison named after him. How about Trumpcatraz?

where they said that refineries are now prioritizing refining of jet fuel, which may eventually lead to shortages of gasoline (and other petroleum products).

    $6.09/g
Which if they are over 6, everyone is now over 6. I have send in the past week Chevron's clocking in at $6.59

And I have no doubt that if/when this stupid war ends, it's won't make a difference. The prices may drop, but they won't go back to what they were before the war, despite it being expensive then!

Costco was 5.89 a couple of days ago but I didn’t feel like driving over there to save a buck. I only needed 4 gallons to fill up anyway. So glad I have a hybrid.

We were in Europe last month. Gas was between $9-10 a gallon. This is really a global disaster.
